ISIS AQUINO (Santo Domingo, 1986) is Dominican writer, translator, poetry slammer, and cultural manager who has dedicated more than half her life to words. As cultural manager, she founded and ran "El viento frío" for the Dominican Republic's Círculo Literario from 2007 to 2017. The original Spanish version of "History of a Piano in Spacetime" won Honorable Mention in Supraversum's fourth annual contest for science fiction and fantasy stories in 2020. Isis's poems have appeared in anthologies and magazines in various countries, and her poetry collections include Descandar el abismo (2023), Balas perdidas (2014), and QUOD SCRIPSI (2011). She is also author of the science fiction collection Relatos de la Tierra y sus colonias (2020) and the novella En la cuerda floja (2016).
